Ty Crwn | Historic Beach Cottage
Ty Crwn was built by the Lloyds of Gwrych and was last used by the Countess of Dundonald for sea bathing. Gwrych Castle’s historic beach house was recently restored to its former glory and is situated just 50 metres away from the shoreline, the cottage overlooks the Irish Sea and Pensarn Beach.
The Local Area
Ty Crwn is situated within close proximity to Gwrych Castle & Pensarn Beach. About 1.2 miles along the main road from the cottage is the Valentine pub in Llanddulas, and the same distance to the pubs in the centre of Abergele. There are beach cafes on the coastal path & promenade as well as a supermarket 1 mile away.
The cottage underwent an extensive restoration project in 2019 by a team of specialists to bring the property back to its former glory. Extensive research & architectural analysis was carried out by a team of volunteer researchers who collated historical data .
